What if the reason you're not where you want to be has nothing to do with your talent, your message, or your worth? What if it's simply that you've been trying to run on passion alone—while ignoring everything that makes passion sustainable? The organization. The marketing. The unglamorous daily disciplines. This is the essential shift: your gift is the spark, but these other pieces are the fire that keeps it burning. Stop waiting. Start building the container your calling has been waiting for.

[00:00:02] Many blessings and welcome to don't die with your song inside your gifts, inside you have so many beautiful things to share with the world. So many people need you. [00:00:14] Think about how many people are suffering right now. [00:00:19] They need help. They're asking for help. They're looking for help. [00:00:24] They're distracting themselves from their problems. [00:00:28] They know they could experience so much more in their life, and they're looking for someone to help them, to guide them, to support them. [00:00:36] And there's you with all these beautiful things that you could share with them, all the knowledge or the experience, the love, the care, the stories. [00:00:48] And they're looking for you right now. [00:00:53] They're on their phone looking for your help, trying to find you, but they don't know who you are because you haven't shared in such a way that they actually find you. [00:01:10] And there are countless people like this looking for you. [00:01:18] And this is all about, are you willing to show up imperfectly so you can help? [00:01:36] In today's session, I wanted to talk to you about something really essential, And this is something that, frankly, goes against conventional wisdom. [00:01:52] A lot of people probably won't like me saying this, but it's true, and here's what it is. [00:02:02] We all want to follow our joy, follow our passion, do what we love. [00:02:07] So obviously you've got into the work you're doing or the work you want to do because you care, right? You want to maybe do coaching or counseling or therapy or yoga, teacher training or retreats, write books, do courses, do podcasts, do videos, write events, whatever it is. [00:02:29] And that's your passion. That's something that you want to share. [00:02:32] And of course, doing that is going to help so many people. [00:02:40] And here's the thing that we all don't really want to talk about. In order. [00:02:46] In order for you to actually do the thing that you love to do the most, there are other things surrounding that that also need to be done, whether it's by you or somebody else. So, for example, in order for me to share this podcast, this training, this course with you, right, I need to have equipment that works. I need to make time for it. I need to know what to talk about. I need to sit down. I need to know how the recording stuff actually works. I need to have a system for the recording. I need to press the buttons, the right buttons, and then make sure this is good enough to go out and then export the file, and then I need to upload the file. I need to put a description on it, a title on it, and I also need to let Other people know about it. And I also have to have some sort of marketing knowledge about what I'm doing, otherwise it's not going to work. [00:03:43] So have you noticed that around this actual thing of creating this audio is all these other things which need to be done, otherwise it's not going to happen? [00:03:54] And then on top of that, there are things like email lists being consistent with sending messages, following up with people, signing people up for things, making sales, dealing with rejection, website stuff, techy stuff. Things not work. Do you know what I mean? I'm not going to go through the whole list, but you see what I'm saying? [00:04:13] There's the. The main thing that we love to do, which in my case is creating content, doing coaching and helping people, right? Doing live events, meditations. That's what I love to do the most. If I could get away with it, that's all I would do. [00:04:27] But then there's all the other things that support that happening. And what often happens is that we are not willing to do those other things. [00:04:41] So, for example, if you want to do any sort of work online helping people, you have to get good at marketing, whether you like it or not. This is something I've learned the hard way. [00:04:52] I don't want to do marketing. I don't like marketing. Marketing. So nasty. [00:04:57] So then. [00:04:59] So then no one knows about anything, right? If that's my attitude, nobody will know anything about what I'm doing. [00:05:08] And so what often happens is we. We have this idea that our dharma is this one thing, our passion, our purpose is this one thing. Like doing retreats or creating coaching programs or whatever it is, right? And everything else is not our passion, not our dharma. [00:05:30] And we're not going to do it. [00:05:34] And we have a bad attitude towards those things. And so we don't do the other things. And the other things are absolutely critical to support it actually happening. [00:05:44] Let's say, for example, I want to go on a road trip, right? Driving around, maybe camping in beautiful places. [00:05:51] So that all sounds fun and games, but that also means I need to be able to pack stuff in the car in a way that doesn't. It's not complete disaster, right? So you can actually find stuff, get food out of the car or whatever it is. [00:06:07] It means I need to know how to get the food I like on the road or bring it with me. It means I need to know how to find the best places, right? Because getting there is one thing. Finding the place, knowing where it is. [00:06:21] It also means I need to be able to handle things like Possible car battery issues, like if you leave the light on or something, you don't know about it and it doesn't work, what are you going to do? Do you have the proper equipment to start the car? Or do you have to find someone else walking down the road, five miles, do you know me? So there's all these other things related to the fun thing that we like to do. And if we're not into those other things or if we're not willing to do those other things, then oftentimes nothing's going to happen. [00:06:53] And this is one of the biggest reasons that so many people are stuck who want to share their song, they want to share their gifts, but they're not doing it because they're unwilling to deal with these other issues. And let's say, for example, that you have the money and you can outsource pretty much everything else to someone else. Someone can record for you, someone can edit for you, someone can get all the clients for you. Someone can arrange everything for you. Someone can do your accounting bookkeeping. [00:07:26] You still have to manage the people. So that's another thing that needs to be done, right? [00:07:34] And you can't completely outsource absolutely everything because people will come to you and say, what about this? What about this? What do you think about this? Then you have to make decisions and talk about the thing, even if you don't want to, right? Let's say you outsource all the marketing. They're going to say, do you like the website? [00:07:49] And if you're like, not really, they'll say, well, what needs to change? And you'll be like, well, I don't know. I just don't like it. [00:07:56] And then they're going to have a conversation. What exactly don't you like? And what would you like it to be instead? And then. Then you have to learn marketing in order to answer the question. [00:08:06] So this is one of the key things that I've been forced to learn myself is that I have to accept the fact that even if I want to do this one thing all the time or a few things I love, I have to accept all the other things related to that that allow that to flourish. [00:08:27] So the kind of limited, naive perspective on purpose and dharma and passion is that you follow your passion and just do the one thing that's very, very naive, because it's, practically speaking, impossible to do that on its own because everything else is involved. The more mature and honest perspective is that our dharma actually is the thing that we wish to provide or produce or create. In the world and to have an open heart to all the things related to that, to to come from a place of love and good wishes and blessings. [00:09:16] So it's a spiritual energy behind what we do that applies to everything. [00:09:24] That's the. What our real dharma is. It's how we are in relation to everything. It's the amount of love and care we have for the whole thing, not just for part of the thing. [00:09:38] So, for example, when it comes to, like, recording audios like this, do I love my equipment? You know, do I know how it works? [00:09:46] Have I invested time in learning what the settings are or found someone who can help me and then learn how it is and remind myself how it works? Do I have the software that works? Do I love the software? Do I send blessings to the software? [00:10:01] Do I love the people I work with? [00:10:04] Do I love the platforms that I'm using to, you know, promote things? [00:10:10] Do I love bookkeeping? And so we. We have to sort of expand our heart to the other, often more difficult and frankly, more tedious things that are part of our life and our work. [00:10:28] And this is one of the biggest things that holds people back, is that they don't do that. [00:10:33] They have a good attitude and love for the one thing that they like, and they have a bad attitude and often hatred or negativity or indifference towards everything else. And I can tell you from my experience, I certainly had that attitude. All I want to do is write my books and create content and all this stuff. Everything else, I don't want to touch it. I don't like it. I've had to open my heart and say, how can I actually send love to everything? How can I, you know, do deal with this technical problem with patience and kindness and gratitude? [00:11:21] How can I, you know, do the marketing side of things that I've been avoiding with so much love and make it creative and make it fun and make it interesting and actually get good at it. [00:11:32] Does that make sense? [00:11:34] So I encourage you. If you're, you know, ambitious and you want to make a difference and you feel like something's missing, chances are is that you haven't sent the love and blessings and kindness and care to all the other things. And maybe you don't even know what all those other things actually even are. [00:11:55] So maybe you're loving coaching, but you haven't got a website, or your website is just really basic and doesn't work properly, and you're like, oh, website, I don't like all that crap. Gosh. [00:12:10] But it's causing you problems. I know somebody who is excellent at what she does. But she has a very basic system set up, very basic website, doesn't have an email list working, doesn't really have anything set up properly. She's still doing all right because she's good at what she does. And maybe she gets referrals. But it could be 100 times better if she put her love into those other things as well. So, like, in a year from now, if she actually invested in the other things, her whole service would be 10 times, 100 times more powerful than it is today. [00:12:43] And I've seen the same thing for endless other spiritual people, including myself, who just refuse to do what's necessary, are single focused on this one thing. And as a result, they're not actually able to do the thing that they want to do at the highest level because everything else around that isn't working properly. [00:13:11] So our dharma, our real dharma, is actually more about how we show up in everything in our life. There's a great quote. How you do one thing is how you do everything. [00:13:27] And if we take that to heart, it means that we can be our highest self, come from a beautiful space within ourselves, do our practices, take care of ourselves, make sure we eat properly. Properly. And do meditation, go on walks, spend time with good people, all the good stuff. [00:13:44] And. [00:13:49] We can bring our love, our care to all of the areas of our life. [00:14:02] And that means that we will actually be able to fully embody our potential, actually genuinely make a difference in the world in the way that we want to. [00:14:14] And what it really takes is a shift in identity and a shift in consciousness. The old identity, the dysfunctional way of thinking is my passion is this one thing, and that's it, right? That's very limited. That's an old way of thinking. That's a way of thinking that we've been brainwashed and programmed to think from various people who've just copied someone else. Follow your passion. Do this thing. Very limited. [00:14:40] The reality, the true way of thinking, the true perspective on this is that our dharma is to be of service to people doing the things that we love, of course, and all the other things related to that and our whole life. So it's how we live our entire life. [00:14:59] And one of the reasons that people don't do these other things is simply because they don't know how to do them, right? They don't know how to do them. They haven't got the skills. They haven't got the knowledge. [00:15:16] They haven't got the understanding. So, for example, let's Say someone's aware that they actually should be sending out emails, right? I've had this problem with sending out emails because I wasn't doing it for a long time and I knew I needed to do it, but I just wasn't doing it. So what I did is I studied about this. I got loads of emails from various companies. I had a look at them and I learned about doing it. I used to do it in the past, and I just stopped doing it for such a long time that I kind of forgot what I was doing. So I had to go back to the beginning, study, learn, practice, block time for it. And now I'm actually quite excited about it. And I'm going to be sending out one email every day, right? [00:16:04] To share a story, to help people, to inspire people and to let them know about things that they can do that could be of service to them. [00:16:13] So what do you not know how to do that is holding you back? [00:16:24] And how can you get help with that? [00:16:28] That's why in Awaken Academy over the years, we've added all these additional things because there's so many problems that people have, you know. So one is, how do you do coaching? That's the first problem. And once you know how to do that, okay, great. [00:16:42] How do you take care of yourself so you're in a good space to actually be showing up and serving other people, you know, in a genuine way. Because a lot of people, if they're not looking after themselves and living in accordance with the standards that they talk to other people about, they can't confidently show up for others because on some level they feel like they're an imposter. So how do you make sure that you're living your life in a way that is aligned with who you're being in the world or who you're presenting yourself as? [00:17:12] And then how do you do marketing, you know, how do you set up funnels? We even went so far as to actually get all the software so we can actually build people's sales pages, funnels, webinars, you know, the whole thing. Because that, that's a huge problem that held people back. [00:17:32] And that's something that unless you take care of it, you're not hardly going to make any money and people won't know what you do. [00:17:39] So we've added all these things in our program because this is, this is what is needed. So you have to think, what are all these other things that you can't do at the moment? And can you get help for them? Are you willing to get help. And then once you learn how they work or you have help from someone else who does it for you, then you can actually do most of the thing that you love most of the time. [00:18:02] I would say on average, I spend somewhere around 70 to 95% of my time doing exactly what I love. [00:18:13] I've tried to have 90 500%, but I've realized that's actually sabotage me. [00:18:20] Like if I push it, I'm only going to do things that I like, right? 95% of the time. What I'm actually saying is I'm sabotaging myself because the things that I'm not willing to do are actually going to cause me to suffer. [00:18:38] So it seems nice if I spend most of my time doing what I love. But in the long run, I'm screwing myself over. So it's better if I say, realistically I'm going to do 70% or even 60% of the stuff that I really love to do. But I'm also willing to do 30, 40, 50% or whatever it is of certain things that I don't like. But I'm going to send my love and blessings to those things and they're going to get taken care of and everything's going to be better afterwards. [00:19:12] So there it is. There it is. This is the upgrade that is needed for all of us. And I'm telling you from hard won experience here, I've got a seven figure company, I've made lots of money, it'll help thousands and thousands of people. [00:19:25] But it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't figured out these other things. On the other either on either side of what it is that I love, even like doing a meditation. I can do meditation so easily, right? No problem. But I have to make time to do the meditation. I have to sit down and record the meditation. I have to edit the meditation, have to export the meditation, have to upload the meditation or get someone else to upload. I have to choose a picture for it, give it a name, give it a title, give it a description, right? If I hadn't done all those things, there would be no meditations out there. [00:19:58] So I want to ask you a powerful question. [00:20:01] Are you willing to embrace all of the things needed to live your dharma? [00:20:12] Are you willing to expand your love so that you can show up on all levels of your life? [00:20:28] And how would your life improve if you did those hard things that you've been putting off? [00:20:38] If you actually took care of your proper business and your systems and you set it all up and you had reliable clients, reliable income, a whole thing working, how would that feel to you? [00:20:58] And are you willing to do what it takes to set that up and willing to get help? [00:21:06] This is a game changing shift in consciousness. [00:21:10] And once you embrace this in your heart, then your whole life will change and things will get better and better and better. [00:21:18] And if you'd like my help or our help in our business to support you with these things that you're not good at, you can reach out. We'd be happy to help. [00:21:26] It's taken us so many years to figure out some of these things that we'd love to save you hundreds of thousands of dollars and years and years and years of messing around with this stuff to get it working. [00:21:41] Gosh. So that's the benefit of people having gone through it, that they can now make it easier for you. And I highly recommend you get whatever help, whatever is going to be the greatest service to you. Get that help. [00:21:56] Have a beautiful day. [00:21:58] Share your beautiful gifts with the world. Thank you for your presence. Thank you for everything you're doing. [00:22:04] And as you embody all these areas of your life and bring your love into them, you'll feel more complete, more solid, more stable, and you'll do more service and you'll make more money. [00:22:17] Lots of love and many, many blessings.
